Zelenskyy to address Dutch parliament on June 24
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will deliver a speech to members of the Dutch Parliament on June 24, during his visit to the Netherlands for this week’s NATO summit in The Hague.
The address will take place in the House of Representatives, following an initiative by the GroenLinks-PvdA party, which was supported by a majority of MPs. It marks the third time the Ukrainian leader has spoken to Dutch parliamentarians, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
In March 2022, President Zelenskyy addressed the House of Representatives via video link amid the early stages of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. He later spoke in person at a joint meeting of the States General in the Senate on May 4, 2023.
This year’s speech will be delivered during a joint meeting of both the First and Second Chambers of Parliament, starting at approximately 16:00 (18:00 GMT+4). To accommodate the event, the Second Chamber has cancelled its regular weekly question time.
