Zelenskyy to meet Macron in Paris to discuss Ukraine conflict
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is scheduled to meet French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris on December 1, AFP reports.
According to a communiqué, the leaders will discuss the current situation in the Ukrainian conflict and conditions for achieving a lasting peace. The talks will take place in the context of Geneva discussions, the U.S. peace plan, and coordination with European allies.
The agenda also includes discussions on providing Ukraine with security guarantees under a “coalition of the willing.” France remains one of Kyiv’s key partners within the European Union.
This meeting follows the November 23 Geneva consultations—where the U.S. 28-point plan was revised to 19 points amid European pushback—and builds on Zelenskyy's November 17 Paris trip, where France and Ukraine inked defence pacts.
