Zelenskyy: Twelve killed in deadly crash in southern Ukraine PHOTO

A collision between a truck and a minibus on the Mykolaiv–Odesa highway in southern Ukraine has left at least 12 people dead and six others injured, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

Zelenskyy confirmed the casualty toll in a message on Telegram, adding that emergency services were working at the scene.

“Unfortunately, as of now, it is known that twelve people have died. My condolences to the families and loved ones. Six people are injured. All necessary services are working at the scene of the accident: rescuers, police, and medics. Law enforcement officers are now establishing all the circumstances of the accident, and the identification of the deceased and injured is ongoing,” he wrote.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash, while efforts continue to identify the victims and provide assistance to those affected.
