Shakira's newly released revenge-song breaks Latin YouTube records

The latest release by singer Shakira about her ex-partner footballer Gerard Pique cheating on her has broken YouTube records.

As the BBC reports, the video for "Out of Your League" has been watched more than 63 million times 24 hours after being published, making it the most-watched Latin song in that time period.

Shakira, 45, and former Barcelona footballer Pique, 35, have separated in 2022 after more than 10 years together and two children together after the drama of him having cheated on his wife made into the news.

The publication recalls that this is not Shakira's first song about the breakup. "Monotonia" came out three months ago, but was more of a heartbreak song than one vying for revenge.

In the new single, Shakira also sings about Pique's new alleged 23-year-old partner.
