Azerbaijani FM informs Council of Europe Secretary General on Azerbaijan's anti-terrorism measures

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a meeting with Secretary General of the Council of Europe Marija Pejčinović Burić in New York on September 19.

Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told Caliber.Az that at the meeting Jeyhun Bayramov stressed the importance of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Council of Europe. The sides underscored the significance of the implementation of various programmes in top-priority areas for both sides.

The minister informed the interlocutor in detail about military-political provocations carried out by Armenia and the illegal regime created by it. He noted that the main goal of the anti-terrorist measures being carried out at present is the disarmament of the illegal Armenian armed forces and the dissolution of the puppet regime. The minister emphasised that Azerbaijan was not targeting civilians and objects.

It was noted that the statements regarding Lachin road are political manipulation. Jeyhun Bayramov added that despite Azerbaijan informing international organisations and partners about the current situation, there is a one-sided, biased approach that does not reflect the real situation.
