Kazakhstan denies discussing departure from Kremlin-led military alliance

The Kazakh Foreign Ministry has denied information that the republic and Armenia are discussing withdrawal from the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).

“Most likely, this is untrue. Just a few days ago, the CSTO foreign ministers held their meeting, where they discussed further ways of developing the organization as well as types of interaction within this organization,” Kazakh Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Aibek Smadiyarov said, Caliber.Az reports with reference to the Kazakh media.
