Kremlin says NATO directly involved in Ukraine conflict

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said that the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) is directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine and is raising the degree of escalation.

Commenting on Alliance Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg's statements, Peskov noted that NATO is flirting with military rhetoric and falling into military ecstasy, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

According to the Russian president's spokesman, Russia continues military actions to prevent all threats.

Earlier, Stoltenberg confirmed that he was in favour of lifting restrictions on attacks by Ukraine's Armed Forces NATO weapons on “legitimate targets” on Russian territory.
