Abu Dhabi meeting on Ukraine ends without announced results
Negotiations on Ukraine held in Abu Dhabi with the participation of delegations from Russia, the United States and Ukraine have concluded, according to RIA Novosti.
The Russian delegation, led by Igor Kostyukov, head of the Main Directorate of the General Staff, returned to its hotel after the talks. Members of the US delegation left for the airport, an agency correspondent reported.
TASS, citing a source, confirmed that the negotiations will not continue later today.
No official information has been released regarding the results of the meeting. Sources familiar with the discussions have indicated that territorial issues remain the most difficult and contentious aspect of the talks.
The United States was represented by President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff, while Ukraine’s delegation was led by Rustem Umerov, head of the National Security and Defence Council. The Kremlin previously stated that all members of the Russian delegation were serving military personnel.
