Air ambulance helicopter crashes on US highway VIDEO

A medical helicopter has crashed in California, falling onto a highway in the American city of Sacramento.

According to CBS, three people sustained serious injuries. It remains unclear whether the helicopter was en route to a hospital or returning from one.

Police have blocked traffic in the section of the highway where the incident occurred. The cause of the crash is being investigated.

The city’s fire department reported that the helicopter belonged to REACH, a company providing emergency medical services.
