Air France plane safely evacuated at Heydar Aliyev Int’l Airport

An alarm has been raised at Heydar Aliyev International Airport following the emergency landing of an Air France plane.

According to the press service of Heydar Aliyev International Airport, the Boeing 777 airliner, en route from Osaka to Paris, issued a distress call to Baku airport due to smoke detected on board the plane.

All emergency services at Baku Airport were placed on high alert as a precautionary measure.

The Air France plane safely touched down at 16:37 local time in Baku.

Immediate evacuation of the 280 passengers aboard was executed swiftly, resulting in no reported injuries.

Currently, the plane is undergoing inspection, and necessary procedures are underway to determine the cause of the incident.
