On April 12, the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Türkiye hosted a panel session titled “Building the Future in a Fragmented World: Transformative Power of Education.”
The event saw the participation of Azerbaijan's First Lady, Mehriban Aliyeva, accompanied by her daughter, Leyla Aliyeva, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Before the panel, attendees visited the stand of the African Culture House, an initiative launched in 2016 by Turkish First Lady Emine Erdoğan. The African Culture House aims to promote the handicrafts of African women, convert their labor into economic value, and encourage cultural solidarity.
The event, which was supported by the Turkish Maarif Foundation, commenced with a video presentation highlighting the Foundation's initiatives. The video underscored the Foundation’s global reach, noting that nearly 70,000 students are enrolled in its schools across 55 countries.
The session focused on the crucial role of educational development in today’s rapidly changing world. Emine Erdoğan, Türkiye’s First Lady, delivered a speech emphasizing the increasing importance of education in an era marked by growing conflicts. She highlighted that education is more vital than ever for fostering social inclusion and achieving sustainable development.
The session concluded with a performance by students from the Turkish Maarif Foundation school in Côte d'Ivoire, who sang in various languages, adding a cultural touch to the discussion.
