Arab, Islamic countries' FMs gather to discuss ways of Middle East de-escalation
Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Pakistan, and Egypt have discussed the current situation in the Middle East, which has escalated after US-Israeli joint strikes on Iran and subsequent Iranian retaliation.
The discussions took place during a consultative gathering of Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Pakistani Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, and Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Saudi Foreign Ministry's post on social network X.
The top diplomats discussed Iran’s escalating actions in the region and emphasised the importance of continuing consultations and coordinating joint efforts to ensure regional security and stability.
The meeting aimed to strengthen cooperation among the countries and develop joint measures to address regional threats.
