Armenia removes customs duties on selected Iranian goods for 2026
The Armenian government has announced a tariff quota for certain goods imported from Iran, effective for the entire year of 2026. The measure, approved at today’s cabinet meeting, allows imports of these goods with a zero customs duty.
While the specific products were not detailed, the decision follows recommendations from the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
Some sections of the accompanying document indicate that the move may primarily apply to certain agricultural products, with import volumes allocated under Armenian government provisions.
The decree also empowers Armenia’s Ministry of Economy—responsible for customs regulation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU)—to issue permits for importing designated agricultural products from Iran. The step is seen as part of Armenia’s broader efforts to facilitate trade with regional partners while aligning with EAEU rules.
