Armenia-US mull strengthening of bilateral relations PHOTO
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the significance of the strategic dialogue between Armenia and the United States, stating that it will bolster the relations between the two nations as he met with US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs James O'Brien.
The premier highlighted the importance of holding the capstone meeting of the Armenia-US Strategic Dialogue in Yerevan and expressed his belief that it will give a new impetus to the further development and strengthening of multi-sectoral cooperation between Armenia and the US, Sputnik Armenia reports.
Also, Pashinyan emphasized the consistent assistance of the US to the reforms being implemented in Armenia.
The PM noted that it is important to effectively implement the agreements reached during the Armenia-EU-US high-level meeting held in Brussels on May 5.
James O'Brien, for his part, stressed that the capstone meeting of the Armenia-US Strategic Dialogue in Yerevan was held effectively, adding that the US administration will continue to assist the Armenian government in order to promote reforms in various domains.
The interlocutors referred to the discussions on the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty, the border delimitation process based on the Alma-Ata declaration of 1991, as well as the Crossroads of Peace project of the Armenian government and its principles.
