Armenian army general staff gets new head

Major General Edward Asryan has been appointed as the new head of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces.

Under the document signed by the Armenian president, he was appointed for five years, Caliber.Az reports with reference to the Armenian media.

To recap, at the end of May 2021, he was appointed as chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the Armenian Armed Forces General Staff and concurrently as deputy chief of the General Staff.
