Official: UK may engage in provocations against Russia
Head of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin has issued a strong warning, suggesting that the United Kingdom may resort to provocations against Russia.
“Britain could resort to provocations on the territory of any country if it serves Britain’s interests,” Naryshkin stated, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
His remarks come amid rising tensions between Russia and several Western nations, including the United Kingdom.
“British intelligence agencies are actively pursuing a rather aggressive strategy, primarily targeting the Russian Federation,” he added.
Earlier, Russia's ambassador to the United Kingdom, Andrei Kelin, stated that recent reports in Western media indicate that London is conducting undeclared hostile actions against Moscow.
