Armenian PM’s participation in Russian president’s inauguration raises speculation
Speculation mounts over whether Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will attend the inauguration of Russian President Vladimir Putin and the 10th anniversary summit of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in Moscow.
As the inauguration of President Putin is scheduled for May 7, questions arise regarding Pashinyan's participation in the subsequent events, including the Victory Day parade on May 9, Caliber.Az reports.
Reports from Yerevan-based Hraparak newspaper suggest that the Armenian government has remained tight-lipped about Pashinyan's plans, with the Prime Minister's Office stating that information regarding visits will be provided in due course. However, rumors within the ruling Civil Contract party suggest that Pashinyan is likely to attend both the inauguration and the EAEU summit.
Despite this speculation, uncertainty remains regarding Pashinyan's potential involvement in the Victory Day parade. While some circles suggest he may abstain from participating, no final decision has been reached.
