Armenian ultra-nationalists on warpath with US ambassador
The “dashnaks” have appealed to the US Department of State to recall US Ambassador to Armenia, Lynn Tracy.
The Central Office of the Hay Dat (Armenian Cause) Bureau of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun) issued a statement calling on the US State Department to review the diplomatic assessment of the US Ambassador to Armenia, taking into account her failures, according to Caliber.Az.
“After more than three years of diplomatic service in the Republic of Armenia, Ambassador Lynn Tracy again received an F (failure) rating from the Hay-Dat America Commission. For the first time, in December 2020, the US Hay Dat Committee asked the US State Department to review the diplomatic assessment of the ambassador, bearing in mind its failures in 15 areas.
For almost a year and a half, Ambassador Tracy has, among other things, failed in such important areas for the Armenian people as American support for displaced people, the presence of favourites among the forces in the political field of Armenia, the ongoing complication of Armenia's security and regional relations.
“After three years as Ambassador to Armenia, Ambassador Tracy continues to fail question after question, being very far from the basic professional qualities of the US ambassador to Armenia,” the Dashnaks said in a statement.
They called on the Biden administration to appoint a new ambassador.
