The border delimitation works on the Kirants (Guney - ed.) section are coming to an end. 

"The border is being taken under control by Armenian border forces. For the purpose of smooth implementation of this process, entry to Kiranz is temporarily closed," Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian Telegram channels.

Baku and Yerevan started the process of delimitation of their border on April 23, with the installation of the first border markers based on geodetic measurements.

As part of the delimitation and demarcation process, Armenia agreed to vacate four Azerbaijani border villages it has occupied since the early 1990s, when the two countries fought a bloody war over the Karabakh (Garabagh) region of Azerbaijan.

As previously reported, in accordance with the agreements that were reached following the 8th meeting of the State Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the delimitation of the state border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia and the Commission of the Republic of Armenia on the delimitation of the state border and border security between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, expert groups of two countries on the border of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia began the process of clarifying coordinates based on geodetic measurements on the ground.

As of April 29, 2024, more than half of the planned work has been completed, 35 border pillars have been installed. The work of expert groups of the two states continues.
