Racha-Lechkhumi leads early voter turnout in Georgia’s local elections
Georgia’s Central Election Commission has released preliminary turnout figures for the country’s local government elections.
According to the CEC's figures shared with Georgian media, the highest voter participation as of 10:00 am was recorded in the Racha-Lechkhumi region, where more than 13.4 per cent of registered voters had cast their ballots, Caliber.Az reports.
Overall, 7.85 per cent of eligible voters across Georgia had voted by 10:00 am. In Tbilisi, the districts of Chugureti and Krtsanisi reported the highest participation rates in the capital.
The turnout figures in Tbilisi and the regions of Georgia as of 10:00 am are as follows:

Voters across the country are electing mayors and deputies of local consultative bodies, known as sakrebulos, in 64 cities and districts.
