Flooding hits Georgia’s Imereti after torrential rain VIDEO

Heavy rain has flooded homes, roads and bridges in Georgia’s Imereti region, causing damage to infrastructure and agricultural land.

In Baghdati Municipality, water overflowed its banks, affecting residential homes, roads, bridges and farmland, Sputnik Georgia writes.

A landslide was also reported in the village of Nergeeti.

About 1,300 families have been left without gas, while 700 have no electricity.

Heavy machinery is being used to clear affected areas, while authorities assess the damage.
