Magnitude 6 earthquake strikes Gulf of Aden

A magnitude 6 earthquake struck the Gulf of Aden early Friday, August 28, with the epicenter located off the coast of Yemen.
According to preliminary data from the Altai-Sayan branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the earthquake occurred at Magnitude 6 Earthquake Strikes Gulf of Aden.
The epicentre was located 188 kilometres southeast of the Yemeni city of Ash-Shihr, according to the initial assessment.
The US Geological Survey also measured the earthquake at magnitude 6 and estimated the depth of its focus at 10 kilometres.
