28 August 2026 13:48

Ticket prices for nine out of 10 types of events have increased in Russia, with sports, theatre, and parties seeing the sharpest rises, while museums have become less popular, according to Ticketscloud.

Ticket prices for sporting events rose the most over the year, by 37.1%, followed by theatre tickets (+32.2%), parties (+28.3%), shows (+23.5%) and festivals (+21%), Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

Exhibitions were the only category to become cheaper, with prices falling 18% to an average of 611 rubles.

Festivals were the most expensive form of entertainment this summer, with tickets averaging 4,449 rubles, followed by sporting events at 3,328 rubles. Concerts, parties and theatre were also among the more expensive options. Museums were the cheapest, with an average ticket costing 482 rubles.

Despite higher prices, Russians attended offline events more frequently, with the number of tickets sold rising 18.3%. Interest in theatre grew the most, by 75%, followed by parties (+68.8%), shows (+38.9%) and children’s events (+20.6%). Attendance at excursions and museums declined, with ticket sales in those categories falling by 10–11% over the season. Meanwhile, Russians increasingly attended concerts and theatres in pairs.

As of now, 1 Russian ruble is worth approximately $0.0116.
