Azerbaijan attends 6th OTS Ministerial Meeting on Media and Information in Tashkent
Azerbaijan was represented at the 6th Ministerial Meeting on Media and Information of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS), held in Tashkent.
The Azerbaijani delegation, led by Executive Director of the Media Development Agency, Ahmad Ismayilov, attended the event, where discussions centered on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the media sphere, promoting joint projects, and facilitating the exchange of experience between Azerbaijan and other OTS member countries, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Ismayilov emphasized the importance of strengthening media relations among Turkic states, especially in light of the rapid technological advancements shaping global communication. He noted that the memoranda of understanding signed between partner countries aimed to promote cooperation in media and communications while defending national interests and bolstering the global position of member states.
A Communiqué was adopted following the meeting of ministers and high-ranking officials responsible for media and information. During his visit, Ismayilov also held a bilateral meeting with Asajan Khodjaev, Asadjon Khojaev, Director of the Agency for Information and Mass Communications under the Administration of President of Uzbekistan.
The sides discussed the implementation of the Roadmap for the Development of Cooperation in Mass Media between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, highlighting the need for mutual cooperation to strengthen media literacy and expand joint initiatives between the two countries' media organizations. They also exchanged views on future priority goals for collaboration.
