Azerbaijan evacuates dozens of foreign nationals from Iran PHOTO / UPDATED
About ten Chinese citizens, four Polish citizens, and four Qatari citizens have been evacuated from Iran to Azerbaijan via the Astara border crossing point.
The Azerbaijani side has provided them with the necessary conditions for crossing the border, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The evacuation of six employees of the United Arab Emirates embassy in Iran is currently underway.

Due to the situation in Iran, three Bangladeshi citizens, three Qatari citizens, one Pakistani citizen, five Tajik citizens and 18 Saudi Arabian diplomatic delegation members have been evacuated to Azerbaijan via the Astara border crossing.
The Azerbaijani side provided the necessary arrangements for these individuals to cross the border, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Amid the strikes on Iran, Tajik citizens were forced to return home, interrupting their medical treatment.
Previously, 30 Azerbaijani citizens and one Italian citizen were evacuated to Azerbaijan via the Azerbaijani-Iranian border.
To recall, on February 28, the U.S. and Israel launched a military operation against Iran, carrying out airstrikes on cities in the republic. In response, Iran fired missiles at Israeli territory and also attacked fourteen U.S. military bases located in Persian Gulf countries. Amidst the tension in the Middle East, several countries in the region temporarily closed their airspace.
