Azerbaijan, Georgia move to unify Baku–Tbilisi–Baku ticketing systems
Azerbaijan and Georgia are moving to integrate their Baku–Tbilisi–Baku ticketing systems.
Staff from the Digital Development Department of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY) are currently conducting training sessions in Tbilisi for employees of Georgian Railway JSC (GR), Caliber.Az reports.
The initiative aims to achieve full integration of the two countries’ ticketing platforms, ensuring mutual oversight of cash operations and synchronization of key operational processes.

During the training, procedures related to ticket verification, registration, and accounting will also be tested.
Until the full integration of the ADY and GR ticketing systems is completed, the Georgian side will use ADY software for ticket sales, enabling a unified real-time sales and registration system.
In the initial phase of operations, transportation will be carried out using ADY rolling stock and locomotives along the entire Baku–Tbilisi–Baku route.
Passenger services on the route are scheduled to begin on May 26.
