A planning conference for the forthcoming Tarlan-2025 joint unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) exercise convened at a military installation of the Azerbaijan Air Force, with the active participation of a delegation from the Department for the Use and Development of UAVs of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan.
The conference aimed to establish a clear operational framework for the joint drill, which is set to enhance bilateral military cooperation and interoperability in the rapidly evolving domain of drone warfare, Caliber.Az reports citing Azerbaijan’s Defence Ministry.
During the session, participants received a detailed briefing outlining the objectives and tasks of Tarlan-2025, which will focus on several critical areas: UAV operation planning, improving mission execution and evaluation capabilities, reinforcing joint operational coordination, and bolstering defence mechanisms against UAV threats.
The agenda also included a comprehensive exchange of views on operational strategies and tactical coordination. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions, addressing logistical, technical, and strategic aspects of the exercise, and responded to questions of mutual interest.
The Tarlan-2025 exercise is expected to contribute significantly to strengthening defence collaboration between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, while also advancing the participating forces’ UAV-related competencies in line with modern military standards.
