Azerbaijani Minister of Health Teymur Musayev has hosted Ronen Krausz, the Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan, to discuss further enhancing cooperation in the healthcare sector between Azerbaijan and Israel.

The meeting saw the parties emphasising the importance of implementing joint projects in medical science, innovative technologies, workforce training, and digitalisation of healthcare systems, Caliber.Az reports, citing the ministry’s press service.

Musayev noted that the advanced practices used in Israel’s healthcare system are of interest to Azerbaijan and highlighted the importance of expanding experience sharing in this field.

The officials highlighted the opportunities for mutually beneficial projects in medical education, hospital management, telemedicine, pharmaceuticals, medical technologies, medical tourism, and strengthening direct links between leading medical centres and research institutes in both countries.

Ambassador Krausz remarked that friendly and partnership relations between Israel and Azerbaijan continue to develop positively, and that healthcare cooperation is a key component of these relations.

The meeting also included exchanges of views on other issues of mutual interest.
