26 November 2025 17:34

Preparatory meetings have begun in Baku ahead of the 4th session of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, and Technical Cooperation between Jordan and Azerbaijan.

The session is being led by Dana AlZoubi, Secretary General of Jordan’s Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply, and Anar Karimov, First Deputy Minister of Finance of Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ammon News.

AlZoubi said the commission will address a range of issues aimed at strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries, particularly in trade and investment, expanding bilateral trade volume, and removing barriers to the movement of goods.

Discussions will also cover opportunities in industry, agriculture, energy, and services, as well as mechanisms for leveraging these sectors.

Jordan’s Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Yarub Alqudah and Azerbaijan’s Minister of Finance will chair the meetings on November 27, during which several agreements and memoranda of understanding are expected to be signed to enhance bilateral cooperation.
