Azerbaijan, Jordan move forward on regular air service plans PHOTO

27 November 2025 18:23

Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and Jordanian officials discussed regular flights on the Baku–Amman–Baku route during a recent meeting.

The meeting brought together AZAL (part of AZCON Holding) President Samira Rzayeva, Jordanian Secretary-General and Deputy Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Yazan Alkhadiri, Royal Jordanian Airlines Cargo Executive Director Khalid Mohammed Alkhawaldeh, and Jordanian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Omar Al Nahar, Caliber.Az reports, citing AZAL’s press service.

The discussions focused on expanding air connectivity as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in civil aviation.

Plans to launch regular flights on the Baku–Amman–Baku route, scheduled to begin in June 2026, were reviewed by the parties.

The initiative is expected to boost air travel links and strengthen collaboration between Azerbaijan and Jordan in tourism, business, and cultural exchange.
