Azerbaijan marks first anniversary of Operation Revenge Reminder to the gangs / VIDEO
August 3 marks exactly one year since the day when members of Armenian gangs located in the territory of Azerbaijan, in the zone of temporary responsibility of the Russian peacekeepers, committed a terrorist-sabotage operation against units of the Azerbaijani army.
On August 3, 2022, Azerbaijani serviceman Anar Rustam oglu Kazimov was killed as a result of the terrorist act, Caliber.Az reports.
In addition, members of illegal Armenian armed groups attempted to seize the Girkhgiz height, located on a mountain ridge covering the territory of the Kalbajar and Lachin districts, setting up new combat positions there.
As a result of the retaliatory Operation Revenge conducted by the units of the Azerbaijani army, Girkhgiz, Saribaba and a number of other important strategic heights along the Karabakh ridge of the Lesser Caucasus were liberated. Within the framework of the operation, several combat positions of illegal Armenian armed formations were destroyed and an air strike was launched against a military unit in Yukhari Oratag settlement of the former Agdara district.
As a result, the enemy suffered significant troop losses, as well as the destruction of numerous D-30 howitzers, military vehicles, and a substantial amount of ammunition.
Operation Revenge became another success of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in the liquidation of illegal Armenian gang formations and suppression of terror and provocations in the sovereign territories of Azerbaijan.
