US-Azerbaijan cooperation moving towards strategic partnership
The visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to the United States holds significant historical importance.
US-Azerbaijani relations are entering a qualitatively new phase. Cooperation is moving towards a strategic partnership, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
A clear demonstration of this is the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the United States of America on the Establishment of a Strategic Working Group to Advance the Charter on Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the United States of America, signed during the visit.
The US-Azerbaijan strategic partnership will focus on the following three areas:
— Regional connectivity, including energy, trade, and transit;
— Economic investment, including artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure;
— Security cooperation, including defence sales and counterterrorism collaboration.
The Strategic Working Group will address key issues such as expanding regional connectivity infrastructure and energy investments, promoting regional economic and trade cooperation, and advancing artificial intelligence.
The US-Azerbaijan strategic partnership means the arrival of American technology and investment in our country, as well as increased US economic activity.
