Pakistani law minister visits Azerbaijan’s Supreme Court to discuss judicial cooperation PHOTO
A delegation led by Pakistan’s Minister of Law and Justice, Barrister Aqeel Malik, visited Azerbaijan’s Supreme Court during an official visit to the country, the court said.
The delegation was received by Chingiz Asgarov, Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Supreme Court, who highlighted the development of the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Pakistan across various areas, including the judicial and legal sectors, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The sides noted that relations based on mutual trust and friendship provided a strong foundation for expanding legal cooperation.
During the meeting, the Pakistani delegation was briefed on judicial and legal reforms in Azerbaijan, efforts to modernise the judicial system, recent innovations, and mechanisms for the selection, appointment and evaluation of judges.
Malik thanked the Azerbaijani side for the warm reception and said that further strengthening cooperation in the legal sphere would contribute to the development of the judicial systems of both countries and facilitate the exchange of experience.
The participants also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
