Uzbek top prosecutor reviews reconstruction in Kalbajar, Azerbaijan PHOTO
A delegation led by Uzbekistan's Prosecutor General Nigmatilla Yuldoshev has visited the Azerbaijani district of Kalbajar to review reconstruction efforts, according to the Prosecutor General's Office.
It said the delegation also reviewed development initiatives in Istisu, as well as measures aimed at the district's socio-economic development and the return of residents to their native lands, Caliber.Az reports.
The Azerbaijani president's special representative for the Kalbajar district, Bashir Hajiyev, briefed the delegation on the progress of reconstruction projects, the development of modern infrastructure, efforts to facilitate the phased return of residents, and the district's long-term development plans.
Yuldoshev also toured Ganja, where his delegation visited the memorial complex dedicated to the victims of missile strikes carried out during the 44-day Patriotic War, where they were briefed on the consequences of the attacks.
The programme also included visits to the Shah Abbas Mosque, the Imamzadeh complex and the Mausoleum of Nizami Ganjavi.
The delegation concluded its visit to Azerbaijan following the tour.
