US, France discuss peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia
On August 4, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a telephone conversation with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, during which the two diplomats addressed several pressing international issues.
According to Caliber.Az, citing a statement from the US State Department, the two officials discussed ongoing efforts to conclude a peace agreement between Baku and Yerevan.
"The Secretary and Foreign Minister Barrot reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring Iran never develops or acquires a nuclear weapon. They also discussed the humanitarian situation in Gaza and efforts to reach a ceasefire, ending the Russia-Ukraine war, securing peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and the ongoing conflict in Sudan," the State Department noted.
