Azerbaijan provides rehabilitation support to citizens repatriated from Syria Photo
Psychosocial support and rehabilitation measures are being provided in Baku to five Azerbaijani citizens recently repatriated from Syria, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection said.
According to the ministry, the group includes two women and three children. It noted that all five have already received initial medical care and psychosocial assistance upon their return, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Following the completion of the initial rehabilitation phase, the individuals will be sent to their places of residence, where further support will continue. Social workers and psychologists are expected to conduct follow-up visits to assess their conditions and provide continued assistance aimed at reintegration into society.
The ministry emphasised that the support programme is part of broader state efforts to assist citizens repatriated from conflict zones. In recent years, the Social Services Agency has enrolled approximately 600 returnees in social rehabilitation programmes, with ongoing work currently being carried out with 49 individuals.
