Azerbaijan provides safe haven and rehabilitation for Ukrainian children affected by war PHOTO

Another group of 30 Ukrainian children arriving in Azerbaijan has begun receiving rehabilitation services at the Gabala Children’s Rehabilitation Centre.

According to Caliber.Az, the children underwent thorough examinations during the first stage of their program, after which individualised rehabilitation plans were developed for each child.

To help stabilise their emotional well-being and support social integration, professional psychologists conducted individual consultations, group therapy sessions, as well as yoga and dance therapy classes.

The rehabilitation program provides a wide range of services, including therapeutic massages, therapeutic pools and baths, art therapy, and other supportive activities tailored to the children’s needs.

In addition, the program includes a 10-day social rehabilitation component, featuring excursions to historical sites and museums, recreational activities such as board games, and cultural experiences.

Organizers have also planned trips to other regions across Azerbaijan to give the children broader cultural and leisure opportunities.

The trip is organised as part of a humanitarian rehabilitation program coordinated by the State Agency for Medical and Social Examination and Rehabilitation.

With the arrival of this latest group, the total number of Ukrainian children sent to Azerbaijan for rehabilitation since the start of the conflict has reached 400.
