Azerbaijan reports increased investment in Karabakh, eastern Zangezur regions

Investments in fixed capital in Azerbaijan's Karabakh and East Zangezur economic regions totaled 2.147 billion manats ($1.26 billion) from January to June 2024, marking a 20% rise compared to the same period last year.

The Karabakh economic region received 913.589 million manats ($537.5 million) in investments, representing a 25.6% increase, while the Eastern Zangezur economic region saw investments totaling 1.234 billion manats ($725.8 million), a 16.2% rise, Caliber.Az reports, citing the State Statistics Committee.

Investment in construction and installation works across both regions reached 2.129 billion manats ($1.25 billion), a 22.6% growth. Specifically, the Karabakh economic region accounted for 905.717 million manats ($532.7 million) of this total, reflecting a 29.2% increase.
