Azerbaijan's ANAMA plans to establish mobile base in Hadrut
The Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) plans to establish a mobile base in the village of Hadrut in the Khojavand district, as well as expand existing bases as part of mine clearance activities in the country's liberated territories.
ANAMA says that the work will be carried out by Şəmkir Tikinti-18 OJSC, with 1.87 million manats ($1.1 million) allocated for the project, Caliber.Az reports.
The new infrastructure aims to enhance the efficiency and coordination of demining efforts in areas liberated from Armenian occupation, supporting the safe return of residents and the implementation of reconstruction projects.
ANAMA has been actively involved in demining operations across Azerbaijan's liberated territories, including the Khojavand district and its Hadrut settlement, since the end of the Second Karabakh War in November 2020.
Recent weekly reports indicate demining operations in Khojavend, alongside other districts like Tartar, Aghdam, and Shusha. For the week of September 29 to October 5, 2025, ANAMA cleared portions of land in Khojavend, neutralising 82 anti-personnel mines, 74 anti-tank mines, and 517 unexploded ordnances (UXOs) as part of broader efforts totalling 1,432.8 hectares cleared across multiple regions. Cumulative demining since 2020 has cleared over 218,000 hectares in liberated areas, with Khojavend and Hadrut included in operational zones.
