Azerbaijani tourism industry representatives visit Khankendi, Shusha and Lachin PHOTOS

The Azerbaijan Tourism Board organised a familiarisation trip to Khankendi, Shusha and Lachin on August 24–25 for 50 representatives of the local tourism industry.

According to the State Tourism Agency, the tour aimed to familiarise participants with the tourism potential of Karabakh and East Zangezur, as well as the region’s cultural and historical heritage, natural resources, infrastructure and new tourism products.

The participants visited various tourist sites in the region, assessed the level of local hospitality and learned about new ideas that could be incorporated into tourism itineraries.

The trip helped enhance the practical knowledge of tourism industry representatives, facilitate the development of new tourism products and assess prospects for cooperation in the region.
