Azerbaijan’s demining teams clear 689 unexploded munitions in one week
A total of 689 unexploded ordnance items were detected and neutralised in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories between August 24 and 30, according to a weekly report by the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA).
During the reporting period, demining teams cleared 161 anti-personnel mines and 29 anti-tank mines across the Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khojavand, Lachin, Shusha, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Jabrayil, Gazakh and Zangilan districts, as well as in the city of Khankendi, Caliber.Az reports.
In total, 2,048.7 hectares of land were cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance during the reporting period.
