Azerbaijan, Serbia mull expansion of tourism ties
On August 16, the Chairman of the State Tourism Agency Fuad Naghiyev, and the Ambassador of Serbia to Azerbaijan Dragan Vladisavljevic discussed the issues of restoration of tourism and expansion of tourism relations and cooperation prospects between Azerbaijan and Serbia in the post-pandemic period.
Report informs that at the meeting, Naghiyev noted that since the beginning of this year against the background of recovery of the tourism industry there has been a significant increase in the statistics of tourist visits, and the number of foreign nationals arriving in the country in January-July increased by 128% compared to last year.
Ambassador Dragan Vladisavljevic expressed confidence that the tourist ties will contribute to the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on measures to recover from the pandemic tourism industry in both countries and the development of a joint action plan in the field of tourism.
