Baku to host inauguration of Uzbekistan’s new embassy building

A new building for the Embassy of Uzbekistan will be officially inaugurated in Baku during the upcoming visit of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

President Mirziyoyev is expected to take part in the opening ceremony of the newly constructed diplomatic facility as part of his official visit to Azerbaijan’s capital, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

The diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan were officially established in 1995. However, ties have deepened markedly since President Mirziyoyev came to power in 2016, pursuing a proactive foreign policy and regional engagement. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and President Mirziyoyev have exchanged multiple state visits in recent years, underscoring mutual political trust and willingness to expand cooperation.
