Azerbaijan showcases advanced military tech at SAHA EXPO 2024 in Istanbul PHOTO
The SAHA EXPO 2024, an international exhibition dedicated to the defence, aviation, and space industries, opened its doors in Istanbul on October 22.
Azerbaijan is represented by Azərsilah, a defence industry holding under the Ministry of Defence Industry, Caliber.Az reports.
The Azerbaijani pavilion features 57 types of defence products, including sniper rifles, mortars of various calibres, assault rifles, heavy machine guns, automatic cannons, grenade launchers, and ammunition.
A high-level delegation, led by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defence Industry, Vugar Mustafayev, is attending the event.
This year’s exhibition expects participation from more than 1,478 companies from 120 countries, along with 178 foreign delegations and 312 official delegations, including 25 ministers.
In addition to the exhibition, numerous panel discussions will address critical defence industry topics, including "Leadership in Deep Technological Transformations in Defence and Security," "Space Industry Development and International Cooperation," "New Defence Technologies: Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Systems," "National Technological Initiative in Defence: The Turkish Model," "Cyber Warfare and Future Conflict Scenarios: Preparing for the Unknown," and "Entrepreneurship in Defence Industry: Risks and Opportunities."
As part of the exhibition, the signing of contracts and cooperation agreements, B2B meetings, drone competitions, and presentations are also planned.
From October 22 to 24, the exhibition will be open to professionals, while on October 25 and 26, it will welcome the general public. SAHA EXPO is expected to attract more than 150,000 professionals.
