Azerbaijan to illuminate streets, roads in liberated lands through "green" technologies

Requirements for the use of energy-efficient green technologies in the street and road lighting in the liberated Azerbaijani territories will be determined.

This issue has been outlined in the "Action Plan for the establishment of a green energy zone in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026" approved by the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers, according to Report.

According to the document, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy, together with the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), Azerenergy company (electric power producer), Azerishiq company (Baku electrical grid operator), should render support in the creation of electric vehicle charging stations in 2022-2026.
