Third and final day of Global Media Forum kicks off in Shusha
The third and final day of the 3rd Global Media Forum kicked off today, July 21, in the city of Shusha, bringing together journalists, experts, and media leaders from across the globe to discuss pressing challenges facing the media industry in the digital age.
Today’s agenda includes two high-level panel discussions: “Media Literacy as a Guarantee of Information Security” and “How the Evolution of Social Media Affects Public Trust: The Role of Media and the Limits of Media Literacy,” Caliber.Az reports via local media.
These sessions aim to examine how changing media landscapes are shaping public perception and trust, particularly in the age of rapid digital transformation.
Running from July 19 to 21 under the theme “Digital Pathways: Strengthening Information and Media Resilience in the Age of AI,” the forum has established itself as a prominent international platform for dialogue on media sustainability, disinformation, and the ethical integration of artificial intelligence in journalism.
This year’s forum gathered around 140 participants from 52 countries, including representatives from over 30 news agencies, 7 international organisations, and approximately 80 media outlets. Azerbaijani media professionals, government officials, and international experts are also among the attendees.
Launched in 2023, the Shusha Global Media Forum reflects Azerbaijan’s growing role in global media discourse and its efforts toward post-conflict recovery.
