Azerbaijan neutralises nearly 1,400 unexploded ordnance items in one week
The Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) neutralised 1,390 items of unexploded ordnance between August 31 and September 6 as part of demining operations in the territories liberated from occupation.
During the reporting period, ANAMA teams also detected and neutralised 140 antipersonnel mines and 28 anti-tank mines in the Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khojavand, Lachin, Shusha, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Jabrayil, Gazakh and Zangilan districts, as well as in the city of Khankendi, Caliber.Az reports.
A total of 1,706.4 hectares were cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance during the week, according to ANAMA’s weekly report.
