Euronews: Azerbaijan turns Karabakh’s reconstruction into new economic frontier VIDEO
Karabakh is moving from reconstruction towards a new phase of economic development, with industrial and logistics zones near Aghdam and Jabrayil being developed to attract investment and create new business opportunities, Euronews reports.
The reconstruction effort, which initially focused on rebuilding homes and infrastructure, is increasingly centred on manufacturing, industry and logistics. Tax incentives are being used to encourage businesses and investment in the region.
A Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Shusha district said the aim was to build a region designed for long-term development.
The chief architect of the Shusha City Reserve, who is involved in the city’s reconstruction, described the challenge of rebuilding the area as starting “almost from zero”.
The reconstruction is also incorporating green energy and digital planning, alongside drone surveys and advanced mapping technologies, as authorities seek to develop the region with a focus on its future economic growth.
