Karabakh University expands to 49 degree programmes for 2026/2027 PHOTO/VIDEO

Karabakh University is expanding its academic offerings for the 2026/2027 academic year, increasing the number of degree programmes to 49 across nine faculties.

The university began its first academic year in 2024 with six faculties, 27 degree programmes and 1,154 students, according to Caliber.Az.

For the new academic year, Karabakh University will offer programmes in engineering, business and economics, medicine and health sciences, mathematics and computer science, education, natural sciences, humanities and social sciences, and the arts.

The university says its infrastructure includes modern lecture halls and laboratories, an extensive library and research facilities, providing an environment for study, research and the development of new ideas.

Construction is also underway on new faculty buildings in several locations across Karabakh. In Khankendi, facilities are being built for the faculties of Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences and Law. A new Faculty of Arts building is under construction in Shusha, while a Faculty of Agriculture building is being developed in Khojaly.

According to the university, the projects are intended to contribute to the development of a broader educational ecosystem in Karabakh.

The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences operates together with the University Clinic as a teaching and clinical centre, combining education, scientific research and medical care. Students receive practical training in clinical settings, allowing them to apply theoretical knowledge and develop hands-on medical skills.
