Turkish journalists witness Azerbaijan’s Aghdam demining efforts first-hand PHOTO / UPDATED

Representatives of leading Turkish news television channels and news agencies have visited the city of Khankendi as part of a trip to Azerbaijan's Karabakh region, where they were briefed on ongoing reconstruction and development projects.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service for the city of Khankendi and the Aghdara and Khojaly districts, the delegation received a detailed overview of the extensive restoration and construction work being carried out in the city.

The visit was jointly organised by the Turkish-Azerbaijani Friendship, Cooperation and Solidarity Foundation (TADİV) and the Intercultural Network Association, local media says.

The programme aims to provide Turkish media representatives with a first-hand look at the large-scale reconstruction projects underway in Azerbaijan's territories liberated from occupation, as well as the measures being implemented under the Great Return programme and the new realities emerging across the region.

Representatives of leading Turkish news channels and information agencies have visited humanitarian demining operations in Azerbaijan’s Aghdam district as part of a trip to East Zangezur and Karabakh.

According to the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA), as reported by Caliber.Az, the visitors were provided with detailed information about the mine problem facing Azerbaijan, efforts to address it, and modern technologies used in the demining process.
